Do I need snorkeling or freediving experience?

No experience is required.

Most dolphin encounters happen while relaxed snorkeling at the surface, and many guests join without prior experience.

Wild dolphins move freely through the ocean. Spending a full week at sea allows us to:

Sailing on a handcrafted Dahabeya — the traditional wooden vessel once used by pharaohs — we move slowly and soulfully along the Nile, visiting sacred temples aligned with the chakras and the path of spiritual ascension.

Why travel the Nile on a Dahabeya instead of a large cruise ship?

A Dahabeya is a traditional Nile sailing vessel used in ancient and 19th-century Egypt.

Unlike large cruise ships, it allows us to:

• move slowly and peacefully along the river
• access smaller temple docks
• create an intimate retreat atmosphere.

With only around 15-18 guests, the experience feels more like a sacred journey than a typical cruise.

What makes the temples of Egypt so special?

During our visit to Giza, the group enters the Great Pyramid for a private two-hour session inside the King’s and Queen’s Chambers.

Is this journey religious?

No.

The Somatic Water Therapy Training – Foundation Level, held in Dahab prior to the Dolphin Journey, offers an embodied introduction to in-water somatic facilitation, nervous system regulation, and relational presence in water.
