I came for you explores the power structures and political dynamics of mainstream pornography. using body, sound and movement, DAS FLAMMENDE FAGOTT raises questions about identification, objectification, intimacy and violence – and examines the tension between hegemonic gazes and emancipatory appropriation. a remix. of pop, lust and repetition.

"porn gifs show that my argument has led me down a dead end. trying to explain what certain sexual acts actually mean – whether in words, actions or images – is like taking screenshots of netflix. if you’re lucky, you’ll still have a subtitle against a black background. if you’re even luckier, that line on your screenshot is your window into a vast, inviting darkness."

accessibility
the venue is not wheelchair accessible. the audience will be seated on chairs. the performance will be held in spoken english language. further information on accessibility will be added as rehearsals progress.
