Wissenschaftler Faust sucht nach ultimativem Wissen und Spaß im Leben. Da taucht einer auf, der alle Wünsche erfüllen kann: Mephisto! Der Haken dabei? Faust muss ihm seine Seele verkaufen. Und das Wünsche erfüllen funktioniert nur, weil Mephisto Leute krass manipuliert, Notfalls mit Drogen und Zauberei. In dieser rasanten Ein-Frau+Puppen-Voll-Playback-Show wechselt Bridge Markland ständig zwischen Mephisto, Faust und Gretchen. Zusätzliche Figuren spielt sie mit Handpuppen. Goethes Texte werden mit Popmusik-Zitaten verstärkt. Roy Orbison singt "Pretty Woman" als Faust Gretchen zum ersten Mal sieht. Elvis heizt der Unerfahrenen mit "Falling in Love" ein. Da helfen auch die Warnungen der Ärzte nicht: "Männer sind Schweine - traue ihnen nicht".
Diese Liebesgeschichte hat auch bei Bridge Markland kein Happy End, macht aber sehr viel Spaß. Sie zaubert nicht nur einen erfrischenden Faust aus der Box, sie liefert auch einen neuen Blick auf die Popmusik-Geschichte.
