Extreme Situationen erfordern extreme Massnahmen – nach diesem Motto handelt die quirlige Seniorin Judith, als sie sich bei tosendem Schneesturm auf den Weg zum nächsten Nachbarn macht, um das Unwetter nicht allein durchleben zu müssen. Verständlicherweise ist Patrick, der jede Gesellschaft meidet, nicht erfreut über Judiths unangekündigten Besuch. Während die Ruhestörerin sich bemüht, mit ihrem distanzierten Gegenüber ins Gespräch zu kommen, gerät ihre Anwesenheit für den Einzelgänger immer mehr zur Qual. Seine Kochkünste kann Judith nicht schätzen – sie bestellt lieber Pizza auf Patricks Kosten. Seinen teuren Wein will sie aus der Flasche trinken und verlangt noch Eiswürfel und Zitrone zum Cabernet Sauvignon! Mit nassen Stiefeln und aufdringlichen Fragen bringt Judith buchstäblich die chaotische Aussenwelt in Patricks bislang so geordnetes Zuhause – hinterlässt dabei aber auch tiefe Spuren des Mitgefühls und des Trostes. 

Mit fröhlicher Neugier offenbart Peter Quilter die Neurosen des ungleichen Pärchens, ohne diese jemals der Lächerlichkeit preiszugeben – ein Seelenwärmer-Stück, nicht nur für kalte Tage.
