European Hyperloop Week (EHW) is the biggest international competition dedicated to the Hyperloop: a future mode of transport. The technology relies on two fundamental principles: magnetic levitation and a tube with significantly reduced air pressure. Together, these principles reduce friction to a minimum, thereby enhancing efficiency and allowing for high-speed travel. In Hyperloop terminology, the transport vehicle is referred to as a pod.
University Hyperloop teams present prototype components and complete pods to a panel of judges, competing in several categories. EHW encourages innovation and technological development to make Hyperloop the fifth means of transport.
On Saturday, July 20th, the Demonstration Day of the EHW will take place at Innovation Park Zurich in Dübendorf. On this day, the participating teams will demonstrate the systems they have developed. Over 400 participants will be on-site showing their achievements in Hyperloop technology!

Die Technologie beruht auf zwei Grundprinzipien: Magnetschwebetechnik und eine Röhre mit deutlich reduziertem Luftdruck. Zusammen reduzieren diese Prinzipien die Reibung auf ein Minimum, was die Effizienz erhöht und Hochgeschwindigkeitsreisen ermöglicht. In der Hyperloop-Terminologie wird das Transportfahrzeug als Pod bezeichnet.
Die Hyperloop-Teams der Universitäten stellen einer Jury Prototypkomponenten und komplette Pods vor und treten in verschiedenen Kategorien gegeneinander an. Die EHW fördert Innovation und technologische Entwicklung, um Hyperloop zum fünften Verkehrsmittel zu machen.
Am Samstag, 20. Juli, findet der Demonstrationstag der EHW im Innovationspark Zürich in Dübendorf statt. An diesem Tag werden die teilnehmenden Teams die von ihnen entwickelten Systeme vorführen. Über 350 Teilnehmer werden vor Ort sein und ihre Errungenschaften in der Hyperloop-Technologie zeigen!
