Der Weg von Cedric Gugler zum Profigolfer
Cedric Gugler wurde am 9. März 2000 in Basel geboren und entdeckte früh seine Leidenschaft für den Sport. Mit 6 Jahren probierte er Golf aus – und war sofort fasziniert.
Mit 11 spielte er seine ersten Turniere, wurde U12- und später U18-Schweizermeister. 2018 erhielt er eine Wildcard für die Omega European Masters, sein erstes European-Tour-Event. Dieses Erlebnis bestärkte seinen Traum, Golfprofi zu werden.
Nach seinem Matura-Abschluss 2020 erhöhte er sein Trainingspensum und wechselte 2023 ins Profilager. In seiner ersten Saison auf der ProGolf-Tour sammelte er wertvolle Erfahrungen, bevor er 2024 mit drei Siegen – darunter ein dominanter Triumph beim Gradi Polish Open (-26) – den Aufstieg auf die Challenge Tour perfekt machte.
Ein weiteres grosses Highlight des Jahres 2024 war seine hervorragende Woche in Crans Montana am Omega European Masters, wo er sich in die Top 5 spielte.
Nun beginnt das nächste Kapitel: Sein Ziel ist es, sich in der zweithöchsten europäischen Golftour zu etablieren – mit Beharrlichkeit, Disziplin und der Freude am Spiel.
