How do I analyse Eventfrog Cashless revenue?

Eventfrog Cashless lets you analyse sales directly in the cockpit. You can see at any time how many payments have been received, how high the revenue was, which points of sale were used and which product categories were particularly relevant.

The revenue analysis offers two key views:

Transactions: every single payment in detail
Product categories: combined revenue per category. Ideal for VAT analysis.

Which sections are on the page?

The revenue analysis page is divided into several sections.

Filter

In the upper section you can specify which revenue should be displayed. For example, for a specific period, an event or a point of sale.

Key metrics

Directly below you will find the most important totals of the filtered revenue, for example:

  • number of transactions
  • revenue excluding tips
  • tips
  • VAT included

This gives you an instant compact overview of your Cashless sales.

Table view

Below the key metrics you can switch between two views:

  • Transactions
  • Product categories

This allows you to analyse the same data set in two different ways.

Which filters are available?

The filters allow you to narrow down the analysis specifically.

The following filters are available:

  • period
  • event
  • product category
  • product
  • range
  • point of sale
  • payment method

By default the revenue of the last 7 days is displayed. You can select your own period at any time via the date filter.

Which views are available in the table?

«Transactions» view

This view lists all individual payments. It therefore shows every transaction in detail.

The table contains the following information:

  • time
  • amount
  • tip
  • point of sale
  • payment method
  • icon for downloading the receipt

The transactions are sorted by time by default. The most recent entries appear at the top. Up to 100 entries are displayed per page.

Important: the tip amount shown always refers to the entire transaction. This applies even if a product filter is active.

«Product categories» view

This view groups the revenue by product category. It therefore does not show every individual payment, but the revenue bundled by category.

The table contains the following information:

  • name
  • revenue incl. VAT
  • of which VAT
  • VAT rate

In addition, tips are shown separately on a dedicated line.

This view is particularly helpful when different product categories with different VAT rates are used. This allows VAT to be analysed cleanly and clearly.

What is the analysis useful for?

The revenue analysis helps you better understand on-site sales and make well-founded decisions for upcoming events.

Depending on the selected filter and view you can see, for example:

  • how many payments have been received in a specific period
  • which point of sale generated the most revenue
  • which payment methods were used particularly frequently
  • which product categories were the strongest
  • how high the tips were
  • which VAT amounts were incurred per product category

This way the analysis not only helps you keep an overview of your event, but also supports the follow-up and planning of future events.
