[Monday] Maximize the Fun: the First 30sec - Laura Maynard
Credits: The Murderet
The Murderet are thrilled to welcome Laura Maynard to Geneva for a weekend of improv workshops and a community jam night!
Laura is an experienced improviser, performer, teacher and writer. After ten years in Chicago, she is now a full-time cast member and instructor at Boom Chicago in Amsterdam.
This weekend focuses on building strong, transferable improv skills, whether you play short form, long form, or both. Expect practical tools, lots of play, and an emphasis on connection, discovery, and having fun together as a community!
~~~~~~~~
The workshop:
Maximize the Fun: the First 30s
==> Build confidence in starting scenes and keeping them playful from the first line
~~~
Prerequisite: 1-2 years of improv classes
Do you ever find yourself really overthinking the beginning of the scene and it can be hard to get those first few lines out? This workshop is for improvisers who love the scene once it gets going but sometimes have a difficult time starting out. Learn how to have the most fun with your scene partner as soon as the scene starts! You’ll be able to get lots of practice at kicking scenes off with a solid foundation.

Subsidized spots
We want these workshops to be as accessible as possible. A limited number of subsidized spots (50% off) are available if the full price would be a barrier.
Each person may claim one subsidized spot for the entire weekend.
Please email murderet.improv@gmail.com before registering.
If all subsidized spots are claimed, this will be indicated on the registration page.
Cancelation policy
We understand that life happens. A 50% refund is available for cancellations made before March 4th.
Because spaces are limited, late cancellations can prevent others from joining and may impact our ability to fairly compensate our trainers.
