About the workshop leaders:

Steffen Dobbert, born in Wismar, has been an author and editor for DIE ZEIT since 2007. In 2017, he received the German Reporter Award. In 2022, Klett-Cotta published his book Understanding Ukraine: History, Politics, and the Fight for Freedom.

Daniel Puntas Bernet worked as a commercial employee, foreign exchange trader, and in sports marketing before discovering journalism in his mid-thirties after studying German and Spanish literature. He spent ten years as a freelance reporter for Geo and the Neue Zürcher Zeitung, and later became an editor for the NZZ am Sonntag. His passion for storytelling inspired the creation of Reportagen magazine. He is also the initiator of the True Story Award, launched in 2019.
