For our first event in 2025 sinokultur would like to invite you for an Art over Lunch Tour with the exciting young artist Xinyu Han on Friday, 17th from 12 to 1pm at Modern Animals Gallery in Zurich.
The artist herself and owner/director David Iselin will guide us through the show.
Han's work examines the physical and emotional alienation of urban life, exploring the complexity of group-individual relationships. Through oil paint, her practice captures a balance between chaos and order, with different marks suggesting the presence and absence that coexist in the universe of her paintings.
Han's work has been exhibited internationally in London, New York and Shanghai, including Dancing on the Line at Gene Gallery, Shanghai and Buffer 3 at Guts Gallery, London.
Xinyu Han 韩新宇 was born in 1998 in Shanghai, China. Today she lives and works in Shanghai and London. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the School of Visual Arts, New York, USA in 2020 and her Master of Fine Arts at the Slade School of Fine Art in London, UK.
The tour will be held in English.
