Pile of Songs – Xol Meissner

Pile of Songs is an intimate concert & conversation series exploring songwriting and literary influences. Surrounded by bookshelves, each evening opens with a short conversation about songwriting and literary inspirations, followed by a live concert in this intimate setting. Seating is limited to 20 guests.

XOL MEISSNER (NYC / ZH)

Xol Meissner is the performer alias of Swiss-born, NYC-based composer Mauro Hertig. He pairs a soft baritone croon with a singular hammered lap-steel guitar to create soundscapes as evocative as they are otherworldly. Having made a name for himself as a composer of contemporary classical music, Hertig published the 2025 album Excess of Loss, which was "Album of Note" in Stereogum and has been described as a "haunting, unique debut" by PopMatters.
