ВОЛЯ [VOL.2] VOLIA – UKRAINIAN INDEPENDENCE FESTIVAL

On Saturday, 24.08.2024 Ukraine will celebrate the third Independence Day since the full-scale invasion. 

On Sunday, 25.08.2024 we want to dedicate this years edition of our Ukrainian Independence Festival ВОЛЯ [VOL.2] VOLIA to you and to us. To Ukrainians and our friends: to those who fight, to those who stand, who help, who hope and who believe. We are able to celebrate this year just because we remain strong. 

"Воля" (Volia) in Ukrainian stands for both "Willpower" and "Freedom." The word symbolizes both: the external concept of liberty and the internal strength of character. This term has become powerful and important in Ukrainian language and culture.

ВОЛЯ [VOL.2] VOLIA – UKRAINIAN INDEPENDENCE FESTIVAL is the quintessence of the strong connections between art and people that we have been building over the last 2,5 years at our space. It will take place on 25.08.24 at the Hotel Continental – Art Space in Exile, Elsenstraße 87, 12435 Berlin. We invite you to spend this day with us, enjoying Ukrainian art, music, crafts and food. Hopefully, this day will bring us a little relief and a feeling of home.

Featuring: Live Music and Silent Disco curated by Dmytro Filatov from Burre. Show and night hosted by Yestandup Berlin. Exhibition: “Ukrainian Posters during the War” by Biruchiy contemporary art project. Workshops by Studio Ukraine, Sonneblumen and more. Movie program with participation of “Roses. Film-cabaret”, “Kinoclub “Zaporozhets” and “Wounded”. Market with exclusive artists. Food and Bar specials by Hotel Continental.
